Contemporary Nepal is a possibilities of prosperity

Nepal is a developing country with an agricultural economy. Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy, providing a livelihood for three-fourths of the population and accounting for about one-third of GDP. Industrial activity mainly involves the processing of agricultural products, including pulses, jute, sugarcane, tobacco, and grain. With an estimated 42,000 MW of feasible capacity, Nepal has considerable scope for exploiting its potential in hydro power but political instability hampers foreign investment. Additional challenges to Nepal's growth include its landlocked geographic location, civil strife and labor unrest, and its susceptibility to natural disaster.

Investment opportunity: Nepal has huge potential investment opportunities.  Due to bad political condition and lack of stability, Nepal has not been able to use it resources.

Hydropower: It is estimates that Nepal has approximately 42,000 MW of economically feasible hydropower potential. However, the present situation is that Nepal has developed only approximately 600 MW of hydropower.

Tourism:  Rated one of the top ten holiday destination by Lonely Planet in 2013, Nepal is considered as one of the most friendly and naturally beautiful country in the world. Possessing 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world, Nepal is a hotspot destination for mountaineers, rock climbers and people seeking adventures.

Transit Point: Landlocked in between China and India, Nepal has huge potent to exploit its location. Its location at times is its weakness but with diplomatic relationship there is a scope of   business opportunity if it could established itself as a Transit point in between the two super powers

Human Resource: Due to low cost human resource in Nepal is very cost effective. In the current trend Nepal has been receiving a lot of outsourcing businesses in IT sector and technology field.

Contemporary Nepal is an aspiration of the fresh blood who believes in making the country move towards the path of development. Looking at the current pretext development process in Nepal was never a challenge but the administration was always a problem.  Bad politics, corruption, manipulation etc are some of the hindrance where things are slowly and gradually changing.
The contemporary Nepal believes in the young and fresh energy and leaders who have envisioned and promised to lead Nepal to the next phase of development and prosperity. Contemporary Nepal is not just about problems but it’s about looking at the opportunities to strive back against poverty, hunger, corruption and bad politics. Contemporary Nepal is about you, me everyone associated with Nepal who believes to be lawful citizens of Nepal- in the making of good governance……..

Nepal Moving towards the Path of Failed State

Wiki defines Failed state as "A failed state is a state perceived as having failed at some of the basic conditions and responsibilities of a sovereign government. There is no general consensus on the definition of a failed state."

According to NY times, "
Since the civil war ended, after the loss of more than 16,000 lives, a stalemate has ensued as each party caters to caste, class and ethnic divisions instead of national unity. Many politicians are maneuvering to get their hands on money from foreign aid, tourism and hydropower; even the Maoists have become crony capitalists, reaping large profits for themselves and their ostensibly proletarian party. Meanwhile, the bureaucracy, army and police — historically dominated by privileged social groups that never held them accountable — are becoming even more politicized and corrupt."

After making the Chief Justice (CJ) Khil Raj Regmi the Prime Minister (PM) of Nepal, the country has automatically landed into situation of uncertainty and anarchy.
The appointment of the current CJ as PM is unconstitutional under following reasons
1. No working class civil servant can occupy two posts.
2. According to the criteria of the Chief justice he or she cannot be involved in two jobs

According to the interim Constitution 2007 state under section  106.  Chief Justice and Judge not to be engaged in any other assignment :
(1) No Chief Justice or Judge of the Supreme Court shall be engaged in or deputed to any assignment other than that of Judge.
Provided that the Government of Nepal may, in consultation with the Judicial Council, depute the Chief Justice or any Judge of the Supreme Court to work concerning judicial inquiry, or to legal or judicial investigation or research, or to any other work of national concern, for a specified period.
          (2) No person who has once held the office of Chief Justice or a Judge of the Supreme Court shall be eligible for appointment to any government office other than the office as referred to in Sub-clause (a) of Clause (1) of Article 131 nor shall such person be entitled to practice law before any office or court.

Like such, involving the ex-sectaries as government ministers by the CJ is yet another mistake that cannot be undermined.

By signing the 11 points agreement the 4 political parties have landed the multi-party political system of Nepal into political
vacuum of no revival........
         1. There is a no probability of the election happening as only four parties made the agreement of appointing the CJ . How can there be an election or  fair election without the participation of all parties?
          2. The 11 points agreement secures the position of the CJ stating that the proposed head of the government will resume his function as chief justice after he accomplishes the task of holding the CA elections, which is described as the main responsibility of the election government. Regarding the dissolution or time frame of elected government has been lapsed stating the election will end the term period of CJ after the election which is too vague.

Time and again the president of Nepal, endorsing the idea to find a solution for the political crisis failed when   Nepal's political leaders failed to provide one common candidate for the post of prime minister. They kept the steady fight of opposing one other showcasing an image of bad politics and bad political culture. Nepal's Political leaders are FAILED and the Political situation is UNCERTAIN which can result in hard consequences. This is the example of a FAILED STATE in making that lacks to recognize its constitution and  peoples aspiration. The values of the pro democratic movement have been lost in the practice of power politics and corruption. The leadership and vision of political parties have just been limited within the scope of position and government. They failed to understand the pros and cons of Nepal's economic development as well as bilateral relationship.  With high influences and interference of  foreign ambassadors  and delegates in various high profile political meetings customizes the sovereignty of the country.

Nepal's Politics has suffered the consequences of Bad political culture where there is no trust in between political leaders and political parties. The values of  Democracy and democratic system is lost in the long term practice of freedom and secularism. Reality of Today is Anything can happen in the politics of Nepal where legality is just a phrase that can be erased or manipulated ..........

In case of  election, the political leaders will need to put stability and justice ahead of power and profit, which is impossible to imagine. The past practice of  cultural  impunity and social degradation has uprooted so much that it would be hard for the new government to tackle the problem which can neither  be curbed by the new constitution nor the leaders .........

Now its not upon the people to take the decision whether they want to suffer the consequences of bad politics or create a new system that is more prune to irregularities ............................

Bus for only tourists not for citizens

Why we Nepalese are so weak ?
The Nepal government provides Bus services for the so call Tourists (goro challa) and for us Nepalese we have to walk. It is pathetic just to give service to the tourists and how it is practical to do that. Isn’t the government supporting Nepal Bandha by doing so? What about the police and resources they keep a watch doing nothing and that's just because the opposition party is doing it? If the police prohibits then later when they to power they slack the police, what a rule ..............

I feel like a second grade citizen in my own country where a citizen is being treated like this. There should be a manner of equality or else there should be no discrimination. It’s  us the citizen who pay taxes to run the government not the tourists and I can guarantee you that we pay more taxes than them then why are we being be discriminated….

The political culture of Nepal has gone insane where politics has become a tool of power and corruption. Moral, Ethic and dignity are just words limited in books which is a hard to find.

This is an example of the weak mentality of discrimination, EITHER THERE SHOULD BE NO NEPAL BANDHA OR THERE SHOULD BE TRANSPORTATION FOR ALL..

I'm inked (Tattooed) and I'm not a criminal.............

This is not just a justification but a question of substance. Why are we being so limited that our physical appearance makes us so vulnerable against police brutality. Nepal Police has been brutal towards people with just overlooking their physical presence and it is so true. In a current drive against fighting crime the Nepal police have listed long hair, tattoos and piercing as physical traits of CRIMINALS. Anyone having long hair, tattoos and piercing would be treated then and there with harshness and brutality. It is completely illogical and absurd for a prestigious organization like Nepal police to do something like this. People do have their interest and rights and it’s their rights to look the way they want just by having a limited thinking of making assumption Nepal police cannot breach the social conduct.
These days’ tattoos, piercing and long hair has been in fashion and prestigious people do carry it as a form of art and presence but the Nepal police trying to counteract it upon normal public is wrong.

The definition of social presence and alertness certainly impede us in various ways of our presentation. It is hypocrisy just to overlook the fact that tattoos and piercing are a form of art and nagging the normal pubic in case of few practices of criminals is an example of weak mentality.

How can POLICE be so discriminatory that they would treat people accordingly? They are civil servants, they have to protect and serve the public instead of that they are trying to rule in just with the sense of frustration. We condemn from our side with every little effort to say the police need politeness and respect for the public. In retrospect of their work condition we do understand that they deal with brutality but that doesn’t mean that they have the right to use it upon everyone ………..

I feel Numb trying to be and trying to follow all the social conduct but it’s my life and I live it the way I want………………….

Nepal's Prime Minister in twitter

The Himalayan times reports, " Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has fired up the twitterati within three days of his opening an account in the popular social media site."

Prime Minister of Nepal Baburam Bhattrai writing was seen firing up in the social netwroking site saying, "Give me single party majority govt. for 5 yrs like in Bihar. If I don’t show results, you can shoot me, young friends"
I must say another publicity stunts just like the one he performed during his Mustang Car. why are we so limited in such things?  Why do we have to believe in leaders who are doing nothing and they portray an image of being good and we have to listen to them. I think its what we all have seen and understood and still these publicity stunts works.

I think its the joke of the day, PM Bhattrai you have the power and you have every means to give this country a way and why are you not investing your energy and efforts towards it, is my question. At least you can resign on the moral ground if you have so much of frustration but he won't because he is the only leader in Nepal who believes who is famous for publicity stunts.

We the people have been waiting for a stable government where we have not seen any effort from your side and your party to work towards it and you say that you are dedicated. Mr. PM how about you using your valuable time in doing something than to wasting it in updating your status there are so many things to do rather than this sort of publicity stunts.

To reality what has been believed the country is run by pashupatinath and the leaders have anything to care for because the god runs this country, so why waste time in doing anything.

I must say Mr Bhattrai you are really an intellect who know how to twist and turn the scenario. I guess you know what we all want but we don't know what you and your party wants for this country........................................

Human Rights Atrocities or a strategic Planning

Col Kumar Lama

Colonel Kumar Lama a 46-year-old Nepal Army officer, currently seconded to the UN peace keeper in Sudan, was held at his East Sussex home by Metropolitan Police officers on 3rd January 2013.He is charged with intentionally "inflicting severe pain or suffering or human rights atrocities” against  Janak Bahadur Raut between April 15 and May 1, 2005, and on Karam Hussain between April 15 and October 31, that allegedly occurred at the Gorusinghe Army Barracks in Nepal.

The arrest issue of Col Kumar Lama is a very strategic movement laid down by the developed country. Developed countries (European Union) have been trying to establish Nepal as a federal republic nation but due to complication of the political understanding, they have not been able to fulfill it. The action directly deals with the sovereignty of Nepal where a third country has no rights to interrupt in the name of justice and human rights.
Point to be noted
-Col Lama currently is a UN soldier posted in SUDAN how come with his arrest UN is not doing
-Col Lama was demoted for his action
-Col Lama had committed the crime here in Nepal why is a foreign country so interested in it
- Human Rights Atrocities issue is not a question of action but is a matter of investigation and diplomacy
-During the insurgency in Nepal, UK had supported the drive against terrorism and had helped Nepal with resources and support
- In technical terms during hour of alert and emergency the state has given a full right to the officials to detail people for interrogation and why is this issue being raised so much

Nepal's political behavior and leaders sucks

It is UNFAIR that the whole Kathmandu has to suffer for the security of one man. There is a good traffic jam in Kathmandu  area inside the ring road just because the POLICE are diverting the roads to clear the traffic. As the upparastapati is coming through the Tribhuvan International Airport road. how logical is it just for the security of one man the whole Kathmandu has to suffer. It is insane the way these political leaders think. They are not the king or they have not done something proud that they should be given such levels of honor that the roads would be clear just for the sake of their passing by. They are the so called "Nokkar" public servants who are suppose to be credible toward the public and instead of that they create problems for us. Who gives a shit to them who respects them I would care for a taxi driver who earns his life by hard work then for a political leader who  makes the roads clear just for the sake and of security. Hypocrisy also has its limits  Nepal's leaders have crossed every limits.................................

When will we grow, just for the sake of one man the whole Kathmandu has to SUFFER .................

Murdabad murdabad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New age facebook entrepreneurship

It might sound eccentric that facebook has established itself as one of the most effective ways of business here in Nepal. From Big brand to news channels everybody is entertaining their fans with activities on facebook, to be precise it has taken a form of a religion where people love to express and be themselves. Similarly, from fashion accessories to vegetables to shoes you get everything online in Nepal. It works with pay on delivery mechanism where people are happy doing shopping online in facebook rather than retailing it in outlets.

Pravesh shestha, a normal surfer said, " why waste time goigng to shop when everything is avilable online, you know its the 21 centuray and we have to be updated ."

Most of these business run on the basis of client to client service where the product’s photo is uploaded at first and the interested clients books it and messages their number and contact address. Within a stipulated time the delivery is done.
This method is getting popular as the goods listed are very low cost as compared to the market that too with the facilities of home delivery. Another attraction is the free delivery option which most of these businesses opt for where the clients are happy to save money and time.

According to recent data’s from socialbaker.com, there are 9,25,100 Facebook users in the Nepal, which makes the position of 67 in the ranking of all Facebook statistics by Country. Facebook penetration in Nepal is 6.65% compared to the country's population and 81.03% in relation to number of Internet users. The total number of FB users in Nepal is reaching 9,25,100 and grew by more than 4,65,720 in the last 6 months.

Sazeena Karki owner of
Sattva-the stylebook says, “It’s all about the service and quality. People like our products and they order. We give them the option to surf around fashionable goods and to satisfy their  interest  they make sure the goods are fine during the delivery. It’s more like people are  online in facebook 24/7 and they like to use their time doing something meaningful. Shopping that too saving money is worth spending your time. Personally, I would suggest people to shop online as there is less operating cost so the goods are cheaper. You can be fully assured that goods sold are of good quality and standard. After all it’s the quality and standard that matters.”

Over the past several years, Facebook ads have gone from being a new notion to representing the largest market share of online display ads. eMarketer recently published a report projecting worldwide social network ad revenues to grow by the billions. Over a four year period from 2011-2014, social network advertising is expected to grow from a $5.2 billion industry to a $11.87 billion industry. Of the projected $7.72 billion of social network ad revenues, 47% is anticipated to come from the United States. Facebook is expected to account for 68% of this revenue. That translates to an expected $2.47 billion of ad revenue generated purely from Facebook in the United States. From there, Facebook’s ad revenue in the United States is expected to increase to $3.31 billion in 2013 and $3.75 billion in 2014.
You might be amazed with this innovative idea but it’s true. It’s happening here in Nepal.  Just by using an email account one can start a business with a facebook fan page and you have customers from all over the world. The dynamics of internet makes it feasible to reach any part of the world. Internet for everyone is possible with young entrepreneurs emerging to find new opportunities where it’s practical and a viable method of new age entrepreneurship.

A steady shot for photographers NIKON VS CANON

There is a huge confusion especially for armature photographer to know what to choose, NIKON or CANON. The people who use NIKON say NIKON is the best and the People who use CANON say CANON is the best. Moreover, there is a good discussion that can take place but there are certainly technical things that an amateur photographer should think before buying a DSLR Camera.
1.       The cost
2.       Flexibility
3.       Lens option
4.       Picture quality

No matter how expensive camera you buy the only thing that matters is your creativity that makes a picture then too what camera you use.

Looking at the technical aspect you just have to learn how to adjust the ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed

Aperture is ‘the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken
Shutter speed is the length of time that your image sensor ‘sees’ the scene you’re attempting to capture.
ISO (or ASA) was the indication of how sensitive a film was to light.

Okay so you want buy a camera CANON or NIKON ?
CANON - if you are an outdoor person and you want more lens option then it’s CANON. Most of the professionals use CANON because they have a wide variety of lenses available that is cheap and you will get more mega pixel. NIKON on the other hand has less option with very expensive in terms of lens but the quality is Good superior. The basic difference in between CANON and NIKON is the sensor inside; Nikon has a bigger sensor than Canon. Though canon has a brighter picture quality and bigger mega pixel but Nikon certainly holds its trump card with quality of picture in darkness, the detailing and contrast is phenomenal

so if you are buying a camera just think before you buy because it matters for who you are and what you want to click.

I love my country but I have no respect for my Prime minister

Yesterday I was stuck in a Traffic Jam at Putalisadak. The road was jammed because our so call his Excellency Prime Minister BABURAM was passing by. There was a big traffic jam and due to this  an AMBULANCE was stuck in the jam. The traffic Police had blocked the road for nearly 20 minutes where the AMBULANCE was making a big noise which the traffic POLICE could hear. But since the so called his EXCELLENCY PM was passing, the  road was pre-blocked 15 minutes before he passed. The Traffic police was signaling the ambulance but due to the jam there was no way for it to pass.
How relevant is it to block the road just for the security of one man when someone, a normal person’s life is in danger. what is the Priority a  JANATA's life or the security of the so call prime minister, What a joke?
A normal person's life stands  nowhere in the eyes of the traffic police  and the country but this is reality.  We live in the so called LOKTANTRA (People's Democracy) my foot. I seriously want to question this why is that during the king's regime we opposed this and the same leaders who supported and accused the king then are now doing it.
Do they think that political leaders have special powers that they can say and do anything or do they think they are superior beings that they have the rights to do anything. But I say it's us the normal public who are so limited by the fact that we don't even dare and want to say it because we are so busy with our lives and problems that we ignore it, "के गर्ने नेपालमा यस्तै हो " .  When something wrong happens it should be reported and said that's why we have CONSTITUTION  and LAW. A wrong is a wrong no matter who does it or to whom  it is related with.  We have the CONSTITUTION which is above all and their its written everyone  is equal and same but where is equality and where is the bloody LOKTANTRA.
I do not understand big words Mr. Prime Minster. I'm the janata and I want my respect and dignity which you have to give me because you work for me not for your party not for your family.
I pay tax and I have every right to say..............................
मलाई मेरो देशसँग धेरैनै माया छ, तर मेरो प्रधानमन्त्रीको इज्जत लाग्दैन   ।
