no one is responsible in this country

May 20 2013, the summer has just landed and with the temperatures soaring up to 20 to 30 F, people are easing with the rain. Rain is considered one of the most benefiting factors with regards to land but in the city area with concrete running everywhere due to lack of proper drainage might result in as a big problem.

Having said that I'm not against the rain but the lack of proper management of sewage system certainly makes you think where I am going.  It can be  a disaster during the rainy season  where the roads become rivers for drainage. Like such, it rained today and the roads of kamaladi were spill over by sewage that stinked and blocked the road, restricting people from commuting.

What can we say its a Metropolitan city with big corporate offices and the drainage spills over every time it rain, its one of the most pathetic examples of Kathmandu Metropolitan city (KMC) management skills. at least they need to be tight with their jobs in assuring  a proper drainage system. We pay taxes to the government for this and its is lack of carelessness shown that makes the public suffer.....

We all have to bear this in regards to no one hearing public outcry but it has to be managed as it affects us. Apart from that many of us have well appreciated the road expansion strategy of Nepal Government  but with such volatile situation of electrical wires running around you never know anything can happen.

who is responsible for public safety management ?

I don't see the government, the political parties and any other institution  then why should we Bloody pay taxes to this Government when there is no management.....................

If this is the case then why should the public pay taxes

Cheap publicity stunt or not

Traffic Inspector Sitaram Hachhethu dancing in the middle of the road
Traffic Inspector Sitaram Hachhethu was seen dancing to the beats of rhythm, might sound amazing but its true, today  morning at around 9:45am  (May 16 2013)  near the Durbarmarg police station inspector Sitaram was seen dancing and entertaining the traffic with a loud music.

It seemed as if sitaram was trying to enjoy his work but it looked as if he was doing circus in the middle of the road. One thing that was very certain was  it was not looking natural moreover it looked like a cheap publicity stunt pulled for popularity. With high influence of politics and popularity, Nepal's government administrative body is  full of talents.

May be done intentionally or not but Sitaram with such image and prestige should have at least thought about the prestige of his institution( Nepal Traffic Police).

More or less with a prestigious image and responsible trying to imitate others might not seems a good idea. In the recent past an american traffic police was seen handling the traffic dancing with a Walkman in his ears but Mr. sitaram had to do it big so he brought in big speakers and boomed the road with heavy music that at peak hour. How logical is it for a traffic police to do it in such a manner that too during the peak hours with such loud music is my question?

what can we expect from police personnel like him ?

Lokman becomes the SUPERMAN of Nepal

Lok Man Singh Karki has been appointed as the Chief of Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) by the president for six years term amid a program at office of President, Sheetal Niwas on Wednesday morning. The appointment has been hugely criticized and termed un-constitution by political gurus.

The Supreme Court on Friday has issued a stay order at the appointment of Karki till the next hearing on April7.  A single bench of Justice Sushila Karki issued the interim order to halt the appointment process till the next hearing. The apext court has also directed both defendants and petitioner to appear before the court and asked the defendants to furnish a clarification on why Karki was being appointed to head the CIAA.

The ‘High-level Political Committee’ of UCPN-Maoist, NC, CPN-UML and UDMF had recommended Lokman Singh Karki to the Chief of Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA)

In the past CIAA had convicted Karki of and declared him not eligible for the government services in future. Karki was accused of suppressing the People’s Movement-II (2006) during the regime of King Gyanendra Shah. He was also accused of amassing properties through illegal means during his tenure at the Department of Customs as director general.

The student organizations including the ALL Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), and ALL Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU)-Revolutionary are on protest and demanding a quick resignation and further investigation.

CIAA is the state of anti-corruption agency in Nepal.
