A fight of the racist

#culture vs #COVID19

The question is what is right the government or the #community ? #ratomachindranath is a cultural heritage & it  cannot be overlooked but in #crisis there should be a middle way of saving #culture than #fighting. Who are we fighting with ?

The chariot pulling festival of Rato machindra Jatra saw a clear tussle of power and culture. On one hand the government in view of COVID19 tried to stopped the locals from pulling the chariot where as on the other local fought back with the police in voicing out their issue of culture and tradition.

Due to the strict measures amid COVID-19, the festival was fast-tracked and agreement the  chariot of Rato Macchindranath was pulled up to Sorhakhutte Falcha, in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan Office. The 'Red God' will be toured around the city and then taken back to Bungamati by September 11.
"Many people claimed that Lord Machindranath has faced a lot of pain as it was left under a scorching sun. These claims compelled people to believe that unpleasant situations will arise if Lord Machindranath gets angry," Mana Maya Mulmi, one of the member of Jatra organising committee told ANI.

Amid the COVID-19, Bhaktapur has called off its Bisket Jatra while Kathmandu has called off its Indra Jatra. Similarly, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur jointly called off the Gai Jatra.

A large number of security personnel have been deployed in Pulchowk to prevent any large gathering of people amid the pandemic. Only some designated local people and volunteers were allowed to be in the area on Sunday.
Chariot procession of Rato Machindranath also called as "Bunga Dugh" in Newari meaning the God of Rain and Harvest is the longest Jatra in Nepal, which runs on for months depending widely on astronomy.

Bijaya Shahi A Social Media Thug

Bijaya Shahi is a clear example of social media crisis that lead to a situation of chaos and complication. The Self-proclaimed Memory King of Nepal was no more than a cheat who was scribbling his own handwriting in an indentation of a written paper. He is a worst case example of a social experiment gone wrong that cannot be corrected in any way possible. In his small glory to fame he framed many people and distinguished guest with his fraud.

Shahi was discovered by  a YouTube Channel Tattato Khabar with YouTuber Bhagya Neupane.
All the claims of Bijaya have been proven wrong and with high ambition and no hard work.

ICANN 66 ATLAS III experience Montreal Canada

ICANN 66 ATLAS III in Montreal Canada was a great learning experience in terms of leadership and engagement. It started off with various concept of leadership dealing with conflict and gradually moving towards integration, collaboration and cooperation in the community. The various techniques taught and showcased well practiced scenarios in giving a real time experience. The case study session was really revitalizing and gave new angles and horizons to see problems and conflict with different perspectives.

in one of the casestudy of the Expedited Policy Development Process (EPDP) on the Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data was a great situation of understanding the perspective of leaders from different countries. The story telling was the cherry on top of a cake which was quite different in helping people correlate to situation and problem. I found it quite relating and would further recommend further collaborative case study and real time data and situation.

Similarly, organizing ideas and presentation was a great way to practice our communication skills.
The coaches and facilitators during the break out sessions tried their best to collaborate in helping understating the situation and engagement. At times things were awkward with people looking at your face as there were more communication barriers  but hell ya we all voiced our thoughts and ideas and balanced our  way in coming to a CONSENSUS of  the ICANN way of MULTISTAKEHOLDERIM.

"We may come from different parts of the world but our voice and ideas are same to establish EQUALITY and CHANGE. "

The most amazing thing was the break out session  where leaders were isolated and placed in groups with non native speaker of various communities. Moreover, the over all concept defining leaders and leaders in action could be differentiated with the skills and performance.

One thing that was clearly visible was  ATLAS III was a great training for leaders who wanted to sharpen their skills in identifying their role and responsibilities in the community.

ATLAS III also included various networking events which was full of exciting talks and loved the GEMS night out which was a treat.

I think the ATLAS III targeted the various skills at personal and professional level with a combination of new and old leaders putting in their learning and experience.

Itahari Mayor taking things into his hand

Dwarik Lal Chaudhary, mayor of Itahari Sub metropolitan City, has taken things in hand slapping Manoj Dahal, a non-gazetted officer as well secretary of ward 19 of the sub-metropolis and allegedly manhandling sub-engineer Ram Khadka accusing him of asking for money while transferring his land. The funny thing is the mayor is taking everything in his hand making him a supreme power of law, and justice.

In view of the case the mayor threatens of physical assault and verbal abuse  to journalist Birat Anupam by a telephone call.

The mayor has allegedly issued a statement to allocated Rs 10 million to break your nose of the journalist.

Dwarika Lal Chaudhary was elected during 2018 local level election as the mayor of Itahari Sub metropolitan city. He was contesting the elections representing Nepal Communist Party for the post.

This shows the current level of political culture of Nepal where the leaders are more focused towards power politics and manipulation. In all democratic practice every person has a right for a fair trail. But Mr. Mayor is supreme power who thinks he is law, justice and police. People like him are disgrace to democratic values and practice.

Arjun chhetri an imposter

The Nepal Police has arrested Arjun Chhetri on Tuesday for predicting a heavy earthquake to hit Nepal this month.  He was arrested from kalimati outside his office by the  Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

According to police, Chhetri had claimed that an earthquake of high magnitude would hit Nepal soon through a video which surfaced over social media including YouTube. he was arrested under the  Disaster Risk and Management Act-2017 of Clause 14 that states  no one can circulate false claims about any natural disaster as it would create an environment of fear among the public. Any individual found to be violating the provision can face a jail sentence up to six months or a fine up to Rs100,000 or both.

The rise of such activities has gone up after the rise of social media where people are saying anything without caution to have more views and clicks. The problem has severely hit the young generation where there is a craze of social media and Viral trend. This cannot just be blamed to the use and availability of the technology but a serious research needs to be conducted understanding the current trend and mind set of youth.

Ncell Axiata Capital Gain tax issue

From one end to the other, the telecommunication giant Ncell is doing everything to escape its tax laibility. With the controversy there has been number of stories that has build, the recent one is the involvement of the prime minister and how he is holding the Nepal government staffs from taking action against Ncell for not paying tax. It has surfaced that Ncell has paid a hefty amount to the Party in context of making the settlement before the election.

This case has questioned the current Nepal Government's interest and action mechanism upon why they have not been able to take any action against Ncell.

In the past When TeliaSonera sold Reynolds Holdings shares in Ncell to Axiata for over $1 billion, Nepal’s Large Tax-payers’ Office had said Reynolds owed the government Rs35 billion in taxes and demanded it pay the amount and fines to a total of Rs61 billion.

Ncell Nepal refused to pay that full amount, and transferred only Rs21 billion capital gains tax. After this, the writ was filed, and the Supreme Court on Wednesday also rejected a case filed by Ncell.

The case became controversial after two foreign investors traded ownership of a Nepal-based telecom company. Since TeliaSonera has already left Nepal, the Court found that the buyer is liable to pay capital gains tax if the seller did not.

NAC Airbus A330-200 wide body controversy

The Nepal Airlines Corporation(NAC) wide body aircraft purchase controversy  has been hugely criticized for its entire process and obligation. The fact from the Airbus website clearly showing Nepal Airlines receiving the Airbus A330-200 aircraft on behalf of HiFly Airlines of Portugal clearly shows the foul play. Apart from that two aircraft have been bought for Nrs  24 billion where as per  international rates, one aircraft cost around Nrs 24 billion.

This also showcases the strategic level of organized corruption in  leadership level to bureaucratic of the Nepal government.  It has been estimated that around 25 percent of the funds are in view of corruption.

The first of the two Airbus A330-200 aircraft was delivered to NAC on June 28 and the second plane on July 26. The national flag carrier had purchased the aircraft from US-based AAR Corporation for around Rs 24 billion. NAC had taken a loan of Rs 12 billion each from Citizen Investment Trust and Employees Provident Fund at 10.5 per cent interest rate to buy the planes.

Australia Nepali Student controversy

With the cancellation of AIBT registration from the Australian government around 1200 nepali students have been stranded in Australia. The case came into action when the  Council of International Student Australia (CISA) filed a petition about the AIBT status of nursing affiliation.  AIBT was running nursing programs without acquiring certification from the required  department of the Australian government. In view of this, the Australian Government cancelled the registration of AIBT citing the wrong practice of operation against the education Law.

So the bottom's line is consultancy in Nepal were selling the nursing program here in Nepal with the assumption of the college about to get certification for the program and assuring the student of a sexy dream abroad.

so who's mistake was it ?

1. Student who fail to check the registration and followed the trend of abroad studies
2. Government who fails to give awareness
3. Parent who lack to check the details
4. consultancy who sell the cheap dream of abroad
5. Australian Embassy that fails to validate the students interest

Things to remember

1. Check the registration of the colleges
2. Check if the program enrolled to be accredited by the government
3. Stop being a ash see being smart lands you in shit
4. Listen to your parents
5. Always be wise to check and ask for pre-registration information with the college or consultancy

Song pressured to take down from Youtube in Nepal

With the controversial satirical song “Lutna Sake Lut” against corruption and misappropriation, singer Pashupati Sharma has been pressured by the ruling top political leaders and the youth wing of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to take down the video from his official channel. And as a result of the intimidation the singer has taken down the song from his official channel.

The singer had released the song on Saturday where the song trended the social networking site with high numbers.

Though there has been a silent reaction from the government but indirectly the political leaders pressured the singer to take down the song.

The song talks about the current corruption and the  misappropriation that is going on in the country in the name of politics. From the president to the prime minister to the ruling party the singer has blamed the corruption and misappropriation to be part of the system.

This practice from the ruling party shows the limitation and attitude of Community party towards the people's right and Freedom of expression. We live in democracy and our constitution ensures democracy. Every word that he has said is true and what kind of system is this where people do not have the right to speak the truth....

In democracy every person has the right to speak, may be the singer went to far by using the flags and other details but why are the political party and their representative threatening him. Are these the same people who call themselves leaders, who cannot hear few words of criticism and they say they represent the people.

Democracy ensure freedom of expression and freedom of speech as a  fundamental right. If the political party or leaders have a problem, they should have filed a case.

What kind of culture is this that political leaders and their cadets think they can intimidate and threaten people.

Sad sad sad the people in government need to understand this that in democracy people can stand against them and their decisions.
During this regime there has been a rise of corruption and misappropriation which is open to all and if people are citing it with their creativity and talent then let me tell you such people should not be called leaders. They are cowards ......

STOP threatening and intimidating ............................
